Planetarium speech looping forever

Post by Arkngt » Mon Jul 06, 2015 5:49 pm

No idea what's causing it, but I've never had it before. Once the Planetarium show in the Museum of Technology is started, it's impossible to turn off - even if the monitor says "show stopped", the voice keeps looping. In fact, it was still going when my char returned to the Museum later in the game.

As said, no idea what's causing it - and not sure how to check it either.

iirc thats a vanilla issue. Ive had it occur a couple times. Had a mod that would allow you to blow it up. Went off like a carnuke. Been trying to find that mod back.

If life is but a test, where's the damn answer key?!?!?

OK. Never happened before for me as said, so I thought it might be a mod issue. It was a bit annoying when returning as my char tried to concentrate on finding a somewhat hidden item from TTW PN. :)

I have never seen a vanilla FO3 game without this speech looping.

Hm, I must have turned it off successfully 10-15 times. A first for me, as said.

You can blow up the planetarium, just shoot it enough times.

The voice looping is vanilla

Post by Risewild » Mon Jul 06, 2015 11:34 pm

The voice looping is vanilla behavior, that is why in some maintenance terminals there is a message saying that the planetarium keeps breaking over and over.

The show it refers in the terminal IIRC is just the stars showing in the dark ceiling (which is what a planetarium is).

Hm, I guess I'm insane then. I can't recall it looping like that after turning off the show - and I think I'd remember it as it quickly drives you nuts. Plus I'd say that the "show" should include both the showing of the stars and the speaker voice technically speaking. But nevermind - it doesn't matter.

Might I add I had the same problem? Even when I try to stop the show, the sound keeps looping over and over again, and I hear it at full volume regardless of where I am in the area.

It is not a problem, it is how the game works, like it was said before that is vanilla Fallout 3 behavior cheeky.

The sound volume I don't know if it was the same loudness or not though.
