Missing Meshes in Vault 101. Red exlcamation boxes

Post by kanilau » Wed Aug 20, 2014 6:22 am

NOOB ALERT

The vault doors and targets at bb gun section are missing and are replaced instead with red triangles and white exclamation points. This blocks me from progressing forward as the targets do not exist. I installed both NMC's for 3 and new vegas, but the first time I didn't do the script fixes and instead dragged the texture folders into the new vegas data folder. I folowed the steps with the script a second time but it did not fix the issue. I archiveinvalidated on/off a few times and still no luck.

Those are missing meshes, if

Those are missing meshes, if textures were missing the game would use textures nearby still.

Seems like or you have something replacing those meshes or with invalid mesh path for the game to find them or you really are missing those meshes from the game files.

I suggest that you take a look at your Fallout New Vegas "data" folder and see if you have a "meshes" folder, if you do then it might have missing meshes or have misplaced some of the meshes.

By the way your load order is missing FalloutNV.esm and the DeadMoney.esm, I am assuming that they just didn't got copied in that load order but you have them anyway cheeky.

Not related but you need to change the TribalPack.esm to the place of the ClassicPack.esm and vice versa to have the right load order.

Should I reinstall the meshes

Should I reinstall the meshes section of the TTW installer, or is it a general falloutnv/3 problem?
