This is my first time installing TTW. After a lot of screwing up and realizing I read the directions wrong or something, I finally got the installer to start installing TTW. The whole thing was done, I got the FOMODs, and used FOMM to install them. When I opened up my data files in the New Vegas launcher, however, the only two new files that were there were Anchorage.esm and BrokenSteel.esm. When I launched the game, it got to the very first part of the loading screen before crashing. As for a different but possibly related problem, when I try to activate the Tale of Two Wastelands - Optional Files FOMOD in FOMM, it tells me "The main TTW mod must be installed first", despite Tale of Two Wastelands - Main Files already being activated. If anyone can help me fix this/these problems I would be very grateful. If you need any more information, just tell me, since I probably left things out. Thanks in advance!

I've heard that this is an issue with FOMM. While I can't help you out too much, I recommend installing NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) and seeing if that helps you out at all.

You realize you're dishing out advice that will possibly cause more issues? NMM cannot reliably handle the large files that make up TTW. OP: Get the LAA exe for FOMM .13 or download one of the FOMM .14 versions to try to install TTW, or install manually.
Also: Open the TTW Main FOMOD with 7zip and verify all the files are there. If they aren't you will have to install manually or run the installer again to generate a new FOMOD.
Also (also): Don't use the FO launcher. Use your mod manager.

Apologies. I was just repeating information told to me via an installation guide (outside of this website) that said newer versions of FOMM have this bug and NMM doesn't.

Yeah they got that backwards.
Yeah they got that backwards. Newer versions of FOMM have fixed this bug, NMM still has yet to. NMM only works if you have a computer with fast disk access, like REALLY fast.
