FO3 NPC weapon bug/glitch

Post by BADshadow » Wed Nov 05, 2014 6:07 pm

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M CPU@ 2.30GHz

Memory: 6GB

Mod Manager: FOMM 0.14.11.9

Okay so, I played 2.6 ttw worked perfectly fine using the same mods I am with 2.7 (minus a few that i activate after curtain events), however now that I instailled 2.7 the NPCs in the Capital Wasteland sometimes don't realize they have weapons (that's the best way i can describe it) they may have a shotgun or Assault Rifle in their inventory but they end up only using their fists. They also don't move or attack but are hostile, I find this odd. This Bug/Glitch I'm experiencing usually happens when they have a NV weapons but does happen with FO3 weapons like Assault Rifles and such

[edit: I should also mention that it usually is fixed if i disable and re-enable the NPC again, and is sometimes fixed by simply saving and reloading]

a) you have a lot of mods, it's probably one of them.  only fix is open your load order in FNVedit and start snooping around.  or, selectively disable mods and retest, until the problem stops.

b) your load order is incorrect https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/alpha-download-v272a#loadOrder

Thank you for the help, It's working now. It was a mod not sure which though

as for the load order being wrong its the best i could do...all the DLC are bulked in the game they should be with..for it to be in that EXACT order, its not my fault, Wrye Flash sets them in that order for some reason

either way its fixed and I'm happy...no more running through the game unopposed. People standing going "I'm going to kill you!"  and basically wagging their fingers at me in disapproval as me or my companion proceeds to shoot them in the face. laugh

Still you should manually change them to match the order on the instructions, the instructions say that order for a reason wink .
