Run Fallout 3 in FNV engine?

Post by wario44 » Mon Apr 13, 2015 12:15 pm

I know TTW lets you combine Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas but I was wondering it its at all possible to simply play Fallout 3 using the FNV Engine?  I use Windows 7 and Fallout 3 will not run at all for me.  However, TTW runs but the 2 worlds make the game very unstable for me.  Its like a memory leak or something cuz the longer I play it the bigger the memory used becomes.  I'm just wondering if its all possible to maybe rename the ESMs or something and play just Fallout 3 in the FNV engine?

Unfortunately, no, that just doesn't work. There's too much different between FO3 and FNV.

Try TTW without mods. I'm willing to bet the issue is unstable mods, not unstable TTW.

sounds like it, I have 200 hours into a playthrough and my save is only 30 megs after completing and exploring both wastelands and many many quest mods.

What do you mean by "fallout 3 will not run for me at all"?  I had trouble getting it to run on my computer (window 8.1).  It crashed every time I pressed New Game or tried to load a save.  These two mods allowed me to run it without any issues.

I run it on 7 just fine.

Use fose to launch it too to remove the Live requirements, patch it for 4GB and NVAC works with it too.

Fallout 3 will not launch for me at all.  I'm using windows 7 and the steam version simply won't launch at all.  I've tried compatibility mode, the d3d9.dll fix, the multi-thread ini fix, the no intro in the ini fix, everything and it still won't run.  Fallout New Vegas runs fine however.

Update, I tried the fose loader and it still crashes.  I suppose the only thing I can do is install ATOTW and just ignore FNV heh.
