Installer Crashing Computer

After trying while viewing Task Manager, this does appear to be the case. It's between 95 to 100 processor % nearly the whole time, and gets particularly bad right before crashing. If that's the issue, is there any method to throttle it? And if it matters, the first 'stage' (before I had to press Enter, cause Windows 8) was considerably lower in %.

It's called processor affinity, I googled for a tutorial, here it is.


A computer should never, ever shut down due to heat. It's kinda like the check engine light on a car: once you see it, something has already gone wrong. It is a good indication that system cooling is not where it should be. Just a warning.
