GECK/WINDOWS 10

Post by Iainmore » Tue Aug 02, 2016 9:39 pm

I don't know if this has bEen covered before. I have just updated to Windows 10 and I cant set the Mod I am converting to TTW as the active File in the GECK. Before I installed Windows 10 I never had this problem. I tried reinstalling GECK but  that didn't solve the problem.

Has anybody else suffered from this annoyance and if so how did you work it out.

The FO3 Mod that I was trying to convert is Canterbury Estates, the more modern one.

Are you running it As Admin?

Are you running it As Admin?

If you are, try to run it normally instead (untick the Run As Admin box in the properties of the GECK. exe/exe shortcut).

You beat me to it. I found it

You beat me to it. I found it wouldn't run from the shortcut but it would from folder where I installed it and ran it by accident as normal and not as the admin then the light bulb lit. Win 10 though arbitrarily changing settings just plain sucks though.

Run it as admin, and also in Windows Vista compatibility mode.
