Ghost trees without NMC or Vurt's Flora

Okay, so basically my trees' lods are broken, showing up even when I'm close to them. I used the Geck to generate new tree lods in the Fallout3.esm and waiting, but it didn't work, as in the ghost trees are still there. Can anyone help?

P.S. If Anyone is wondering what TTW Riot Armors of the Wastes is, It's something I made to add the Lonesome Road Riot Gears to some locations and vendors in the DC Wastes. If anyone asks, I'll post the file, but I highly doubt drag and dropping custom containers and the armors into interior cells would cause this.

Are all the trees in your game showing that, or just in some locations?


I ask because if it is only in some locations than it is not your fault, TTW has a glitch that still keeps that LOD version of the trees in some locations, although trees in many other places are normal.

I had just started a new game after a clean install. For maybe 1 or 2 in game days the trees were fine,  but then the problem started cropping up. Later I reverted to a previous save at Megaton, went outside, and looked at the trees. They were fine, but when I turned around, bam. Broken lods.


I had made a clean install after encountering this problem in a previous game: The trees outside underworld were fine, but everywhere else the lods were broken. Do note that I made the clean install because I had NMC installed, and I figured a full uninstall would fix it.

I think theres a couple of threads on this specifically, and the Vurts thread has it a lot too. AFAIK Chuck is the only one whos managed to get tree LOD working properly and that was through tedious spamming of generate LOD.


Its a known issue but I dont think anyone knows why it happens or how to reliably fix it.

Oh. I never really read the threads because I get it withough texture replacers (my laptop sucks so I cant use them) but it never really bothered me; my game looks like ass anyway.


Sorry I couldnt be more helpful, hopefully someone with a better grasp of trees might see this soon.
