TTW game world lag?

Post by BossieBoxer » Tue Oct 07, 2014 3:32 pm

Specs

GTX 770 2gb

i7 3770k

16gb ram

Is it normal to have TTW running quite slow while out in the exterior? Fallout NV works amazing without TTW on ultra 60+. For performance issues i use Fallout NV 4gb, the nvidia d3d9 thing and the stutter remover. For visuals i use NMC Normal pack and fellout  im also using CASM and Zans autopurge crash protector if that helps.

Thanks alot

Get rid of nvidia d3d9 thing. Get NVAC, NVSR (do heap replacement). If you absolutely need a d3d9 fix get enbboost.

Okay, i removed d3d9.dll got NVAC and did a heap replacement on Stutter remover. This made the game smoother and playable in most areas and it also got rid of a huge stutter issue i had when changing to weapons hotkeyed. But in large open areas it sometimes dips down to 40 which i find wierd considering my specs are more than enough to play this.

It's the game itself. It's not built to account for modern specs. It just can't use all the extra power.

You can eek out some extra performance by enabling shader model 3 in the ini.

Enabling shader model 3, just through ini settings, probably isn't going to do anything. Tried that myself for Oblivion, FO3 and FNV. The engine still uses shader model 2. Replacing the .sdp package will give you performance, but may cause your ENB to mess up; as it did for me.

For the stutter, if you have Mod Organizer, you can seperate your mods into different folders (even the vanilla .esm files and .bsa files), make a ramdisk, move a couple of the folders to a backup directory, copy them to your ramdisk and then use symbolic links to make mod organizer look in your ramdisk for the mod files.

It has the same result as if you were to modify the archive list in your .ini files to look at your ramdisk for .bsa files, but without the character limit.

For NVSR heap replacement, is there anything more that needs to be done than enabling it at the top?

EDIT:  Never mind, I see the heap suggestions on the NVSR mod Description page.
