Can't find train to New Vegas from DC

Post by veritas4156 » Sun Jan 19, 2014 5:26 am

So I've been playing in DC for awhile and finally decided to venture to the Mojave. I went to the train station as described and it seemed normal (unless Judiciary Square Metro is the right door to go into). It seemed that the rubble wasn't cleared as it was supposed to be, so I used tcl to see if it was behind it and I still can't find it. I'm running 2.4a (doublechecked on NVMM) and I'm using a clean install of the FO3, FNV, and TTW. I've never installed TTW prior.

I searched for other threads and couldn't find anything that applied. I already posted the local map screenshot, the load order screenshot (with TTW 2.4a and NMM 0.46.0 versions on there), the only thing i didn't mention is that I'm using the steam download of the GOTY and ultimate edition and that I'm running Windows 7 with an AMD FX-8120, 8gb of DDR3 1600 and an old Geforce 9600GT 1GB that's overclocked a bit.

There's a whole 'nother thread on this exact issue. How does that not apply?

Because I'm in the train

Post by veritas4156 » Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:01 pm

Because I'm in the train station already and the debris isn't cleared from the tunnel that its supposed to be. That guy didn't know how to use the local map. Did you look at the screenshots and read my post or did you just look at the topic? I'm not trying to be an ass but I don't know how else to say it.

Veritas is right, the linked

Veritas is right, the linked thread is a different issue, but I swear we've covered the debris issue before. Basically, if you had already been to this metro station before 2.4a the debris was already enabled and you have to TCL to get through it. So you are on the right track, it's just the game not behaving how it is expected to. Just go through the door to Judiciary Square.

I will fix this issue in my Transit update. I'm guessing the rubble in question was set to initially disabled and if the player had been in the cell prior to TTW 2.4 the cell is in the save with the rubble intact. I will simply move the rubble below ground to avoid this issue in the future.

If I understood the problem

Post by Risewild » Mon Jan 20, 2014 12:45 am

If I understood the problem right, the strange thing here is that there is no door even after Veritas tcl through the rubble which is strange because other people seem to have the "rubble is not missing" problem but still have the door to go to the new station. It is like there is no station in Veritas game (or at least no door that leads to the station).
