Need help!!! cant play

So after a long process of not being able to install TTWL using nexus mod manger, (it kept giving me error messages, something about objects missing?) I finally managed to install it manually, everything is where it should be (i think, i followed the instuctions for manual install.) when i try to load up the game the main menu does not show up. no options do, the only way to close the program is through the control panel. I've been wanting to play TTWL since i first heard about it and now that i think i should be able to, i can't, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!

*UPDATE* So I waited for like 5 minutes and the menu showed up, the background was new vegas, but the title of the game had been changed to TALE OF TWO WASTELANDS, however, when i start the new game i wake up in doc mitchells house instead of starting in dc as a baby. now what do i do?

Repeat the INI adjustments.

that worked!!!! thank you so much!!! i have been dying to play this since i first heard about it =D one question though, if i did a manual install can i still add mods to it? or is TTWL the only one allowed?

Well you can use the Readius " A Familiar friend " from Nexus but just disable it for the beginning of the game and reenable after you exit Vault 101.
