Having Trouble with TTW Installer 2.4a

Post by artofsushi » Tue Mar 25, 2014 4:22 am

System specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Processor: Intel i5-2500k @ 3.30GHz

RAM: 8GB DDR3

Mod Manager (N/A at this step, but): NMM 0.49.1

FO3 Version: Steam GOTY (and Steam F:NV Ultimate, fwiw)

Load Order:

Not applicable at this step

TTW Install log:

attached

Symptoms:

Installer stops working after extracting Fallout - Misc.bsa

What Have I already tried:

I have done clean installs of both F:NV and FO3, made sure everything in .../steam/steamapps/comon/fallout 3 goty/ is not marked read only, tried reinstalling both the 32- and 64-bit Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable SP1, and read and tried fixes in several other help threads on this forum.

I've been playing 2.2 for a while and remember a bit of trouble installing it, but running the installer a second time seemed to fix things.

Thank you, Jax. I apparently was somnambulating when I thought I had done that part. Working fine now.

In other news, future peeps who are having trouble: read everything and make sure you've done it. Stops you from being an idiot on the Internet like I just was. ;)
