Yes I have the latest williow esp and Doc did do the sitting animation. I think he starts that when he got to the ink blot questions. So I'll check williow.
I now realize that my tag skill points don't disappear but are redistributed according to my answers to the questions. I'll try disabling willow tomorrow to see if that is the problem. She's like the one mod I thought could have no effect on this.
Ok so when deactivating willow the quest precedes as it's supposed to it. The NVwillow.esp must conflict with the quest somehow. This post could be moved to Mod troubleshooting or closed.
It should be noted somewhere though as Willow is a popular mod. Thanks for the help!
Somebody should tell the author. I've used the mod and there's absolutely no reason for it to modify NV Start.

I'm not sure how well that'll work - Llama sounds like she's pretty well done with Willow. That said, I don't think she'd object to someone creating a TTW patch that removes any of its effects upon the NV start. Someone want to take a look in FNVEdit and check where the errors are?

I wrote a post today to report it to Llama on the Willow page, so the ball is in her court now. Hopefully she will have some suggestions as to a cause or a fix.
