I tried the method of creating fnv and f3 and ttv directories right off root c.
Now sounds.bsa failed to update properly is the message.
So I get a little further each time.
I have windows 7 64 bit. new vegas is on steam. I've been playing it awhile and it has mods. fallout 3 I just installed on steam, no mods.
There really is nothing about my box that should prevent a clean install.
I recommend that those who are working so hard on the next version focus some of that energy on the installer. Cause this is a no go. Unfortunate cause I only loaded fallout 3 in order to carry a character from one game to the other.
---Merged- TJ---
I've renamed the 64 bit into the 32 bit.
I've created new directories that aren't as deep.
My load order should not be relevant if this mod doesn't even install. right now my fomm only lets me select one game or the other.
I have plenty of ram.

Then the sounds.bsa error. The ttv directory has a main.bsa, and a data directory with a bunch of sound files. no sounds.bsa.
Is this the data that should be copied into fnv or was that error a showstopper?
