So is there a solution ?
I had to reinstall my computer (hard drive overheated I assume and it crapped out), tried three times and BSA issues...
Go slow with me - I tried a few other options that I read - and am debating reinstalling FO3 and see if that helps.
One or more of your Fallout 3 BSA files ...

I personally like you Hellbilly, and you at least seem to try to learn for yourself, so never fear asking questions. For future reference, most mod projects, forums, and websites in general have an FAQ page which, in our case, is found 2nd from the top on the main menu bar (left side of the screen). It is considered polite to read through the FAQ before asking for help, and also search (using the glowing red search bar in the top left corner of this site. Were you to have searched "dtc6dal.dat" you would have turned up these results.
Happy hunting and best of luck.

[quote=worldbro]why do empty dos boxes periodically pop up?
Trying to install again now, and an empty dos box (command prompt) comes up and has been there for 15 minutes. installer is getting cpu. Can I close that empty dos box?

There's some irony in all this. Seems from what he said here the installer was actually working and if he'd been less of a dick long enough for people to tell him he could be playing TTW right now.

Thank you Jax - was digging
Thank you Jax - was digging in the wrong areas.
Reinstalling everything right now (gotta love Steam).
I learned that when dealing with mods it is 99% user error and I am learning more about my computer by looking things up and trying to do it myself.
You can either learn to tune a 6 pack carb by monkeying with it and checking up on it yourself - or you can have your buddy bail you out every time you swap manifolds to race, I don't like not knowing what is going on under my hood.

HAHA
HAHA
15 minutes after writing my response my laptop died, I am trying to figure out all the garbage they installed on this new one the wife got me (everything is in Spanish too LOL) today.
I do apologize for not looking at my install log - I thought it was some magic stuff that non wizards were not supposed to understand.
Another round with this :)
I just need to get the pics of my kids off my old laptop and I will be right as rain.
OP, seriously dude, life is too short to be wound up that tight. I am not going to shame you - just give you some advice that you might want to take. Respect people around you as you want to be respected. If you were to talk to me that way face to face - I would be paying for a cool wire kit to hold your your jaw together for about 6 months
