Meshes BSA

Post by Stuck CAPS » Mon Nov 18, 2013 4:13 am

I'm running into the problem that if I try running the installer, all comes out fine with no errors.  I run the game, only to find that a myriad of meshes in, at least, as far as I've played, Megaton aren't loading/do not exist.  I'm getting red exclamations over most of the ramp meshes, and some of the walls.  I've spoken to a few people on the site about this, and have come to the conclusion that my "Fallout - Meshes.bsa" from the Fallout 3 folder isn't being extracted nor edited, and therefor, "TaleOfTwoWastelands - Meshes.bsa" are not being created.  This is leading to some errors that make parts of the game unplayable even early on, which I assume may lead to crashes in the future.  Any advice toward making the installer detect this and/or edit it, or any ways to work around the installer to get this all to work would be extremely helpful.

TL;DR: Fallout - Meshes.bsa are not being detected or edited, so TaleOfTwoWastelands - Meshes.bsa is not being created through the installer.

Thanks in advance,

Alex.

I've been digging for several hours, and ended up finding a fix.  Sorry for posting a previously addressed problem!

What fix was that? This is a common problem so explaining how you fixed it may help others.
