Distant Rocks Orange (NMC Texture pack)

Distant Rocks Orange (NMC Texture pack)

I have the FNV version of NMC's texture pack installed over the FO3 version, as per the FAQ.


I get orange rocks in the distance. They pop into the correct color when I get close. Installing the optional "washedoutwasteland" helps but it's still not the correct color

NMC is a texture replacer. You've replaced the texture.

I know. It's not a bug. I'm thinking it's using the New Vegas texture for the LOD, as far away rocks are the ones with the wrong colored texture. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this, as I want the Capital Wasteland to look right as well as the Mojave.

It seems, quite simply, that while the original games share identical textures NMC made unique versions for each game, which is causing this problem.


I'm going to try and work on a fix, for anyone else that is bothered by this cheeky
