Basic question about Fallout 3 and Window 7 64 bit

I have been seeing that people have issues getting Fallout 3 to run

on a Windows 7 64 quad core machine (which I have)

Does TTW require that I have a launchable install of Fallout 3

to work, or is it enough to just have the game data in the right place?

I have no intention of running Fallout 3 independently, and I don't want

to do 'fixes' to the install that might foul my TTW install, such as disabling

cores or editing the .ini file

Getting Fallout 3 installed is causing me more worry than the TTW install :(

You should only need a legal copy of FO3 in the proper place for the TTW installer to run. Once you have TTW installed you launch the game through FNV.

You may have to run the F3 launcher at least once to verify registry settings, but the game itself never has to be ran.

Yeah so long as you have a legit copy of fallout 3 installed, and the launcher is ran to set the registry settings, you should be good to go.

Hope you didn't think we were making any accusations! We were just putting it out there for others who may not have legal copies of the game.
