I am unable to Hire any human followers.

After completing Broken steel and starting New Vegas I have ben unable to hire any followers (I first noticed it when I tried to get Boone to follow me)


Running Windows 7 Pro (64bit) SP 1


Installed TTW using my old FO3 with a few weapon mods installed over my old FONV with a few weapon mods installed.


Load Order:

I have tried using the companion dismissal terminal at the Gun runners and getting my companions striped by dlc (Dead Money and Lonesome Road, the companions in the DLC work just fine) but still have not ben able to recruit any followers (both DC and NW)

Yes I had Fawks although he got stuck somewhere while I was playing Broken Steel.


After finding that I was unable to recruit Boone I made a beeline to the Dismissal terminal at the Gun Runners and eventually took the train back to the CW. I found Fawks in the Natural History Museum but was unable to get him to join me. According to Fawks I already had someone following me.

Can you be more precise about where he got stuck? I've seen this issue before and am trying to narrow down what is causing it.

I just loaded up some of my old saves and have discovered that it was returning from Point Lookout that appears to have bugged the followers.


 


I loaded my save just before point lookout and Fawks is still with me.


I the loaded my save just after returning from Point lookout and then went to the natural history museum. Fawks is there but will not rejoin me.


 


I don't know why I thought it was broken steel that bugged him, my play order is as follows:




  1. Fallout 3


  2. Broken Steel


  3. Zeta


  4. Point Lookout


  5. Operation Anchorage


  6. Train to NV
