I'm using the latest FOMM, by the way.
So after completing the TTW installation, I installed the main TTW FOMOD without any problems. However, when I tried to install the optional TTW FOMOD, I get an error message saying that I needed to install the main TTW first. I obviously already did that, so I don't understand this error.
Before you ask: no, I don't have a pirated copy.
Did you install the FOMOD with NMM or FOMM? Sometime people have issues when installing the FOMOD with NMM.
You may just want to do a manual install, the instructions are on the Alpha download page.
I installed it using FOMM. I guess I'll just manually install it.

I had the same problem. I was using FOMM, but hadn't installed the extended FOMM.exe (found on the Alpha Download page). It said that it had been installed, but the optional files didn't register the main file and the files/.esm's weren't in the data folder. Swapped out the .exe, ran it again, and it installed perfectly.

Not hard to find just search for LAA FOMM
