iron sight

let me start by saying, i admit to me own wrong doing as i started this last run through with mods activated prior to leaving the vault so much of the troubleshooting process maybe be nulled. im having issues with the ironsites for 10mm and bbgun. when i hold mouse 2 the weapons do not come all the way up (the settle at a point slightly lower than most weapons) and the aiming reticule remains active. now i did start a new game with all mods deactivate and the recommended load order (i did not export a load order but i double check to make sure it was the same as recommended and it was only those mods required by TTW) and i still had the issue. 9mm, Chinese pistol, lever action are all fine. id unistall and reinstall FNV and start over but i live in the boonies and am allowed 0nly 100gb a month with my internet provider. i have the steam versions of both fallouts.

Do you have to download the whole game again if you want to reinstall? I don't know as I have the disk version.


You could try reinstalling TTW, Shouldn't require any downloading unless you deleted the installer.


I cant help much more than that I'm afraid, but that has sometimes fixed problems like this for me in the past.


Also, I dont mean to be rude but my OCD brain wont let me leave without telling you: ironsites = iron sights

lol... no worries... correcting me does no good though i know how to spell the word you'll find i mix the proper usage of "me" and "my" up all the time, spell they as thay, of as uf and a ton of other errors and often times i cant think of words i need... super annoying... cracked my head open as a kid (fell out of a tree and hit my head on a brick) ever since things seem correct to me initially or i just blank. then it's pointed out to me then i feel stupid cause i know i was wrong. one day when i was 12 i couldn't remember how to spell "a" seriously... it sucked i was so embarrassed cause i had to ask someone how to spell it. 


 


i went ahead and and did a fresh install. i had to much going on to just delete a few things and starting over and doing things in the correct order helps with trouble shooing later on now i have a missing mesh (big explanation mark is a missing mesh?) the overseers desk is gone. that was with nothing installed but ttw. but thats and easy fix.


 


Edit: does anyone know which file represents the mesh file for the overseers desk?


edit: so what i think should work isnt working. to recap... im missing the overseers desk in vault 101. its a vanilla install. i tried moving the file, vrmoverseersdesk01.nif to fnv/data/mesh but there is no change. im still getting the big red explanation mark. any thoughts? please.

The overseer desk not showing is because of TTWFixes, I don't know why you have that problem when you are not using that mod frown.

edit: sorry for the double post below. if it's part of the fix then i'll let this go. i was thinking it was simply some weirdness with my install. i try to fix my own issues but nothing i tried was working and it never even occurred to me that ttw fixes (which i consider to be a part of basic ttw install) would be the issue. thank you rise!

Well I guess you can always disable the TTWFixes and escape through the Overseer tunnel, then enable TTWFixes again. That should work cool.

thank you. getting out wasnt an issue. with out the desk there i could actually just walk on through. i just try to fix issues myself as i come across them and i couldnt fix this one, and it's not a simple matter of a missing mesh. i even extract the entire fo3 mesh bsa put it in MO then moved it to the fnv data folder. which it what ive done for the missing robot voice which work great. but i couldn't fix this. it was killing me. but somehow knowing that it's part of the fix plugin allows me to let it go.

ok. back to the original issue. i'm not having very much luck with this playing through. i was having issues with ironsight while using FOMM, then i went to MO. i honestly didn't get far enough to see if the issue persisted through to MO. current the bb gun, 10mm, and hunting rifle are having issue explained in the original post. ironsights not leveling out to center of screen and on screen reticule are still showing. i am having internet issues with my main system and my mini laptop will not let me get into the paste screen to paste my load order and install log. as soon as i can i will. in the mean time i'm wondering if there are animation files for these items that i might be missing and if so how can i find and load them into the loose files 


 


ok my install log and load order are attached


edit: so i tried with only the basic mod. the ttw main esm and the mods it needs to function. i unchecked everything else including ttw fixes and all ttw options. so i was only running fo3, fnv, the stash packs, and dlc's for both games + of course ttw main. the issue continues.
