Can't See Cursor/Use Keyboard at Loading Screen

Well, I've no idea what I've managed to screw up, but when trying to run TTWL, I am completely unable to use my mouse or keyboard for anything, almost as if the game forgot to load them. The menus also do not load, and attempting to alt+tab is a futile endeavor to say the least. the only thing that I can do is ctrl+alt+del and kill FalloutNV.exe manually. I thought it would be a problem with my mods (Project New Vegas, EVE, Ling's various packs) like it was for my modded New Vegas, but deactivating them does nothing.

I'm thinking at this point that I had absolutely no clue how to run 4gb New Vegas, which may have screwed things up for me, but I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it at this point.

Any help is appreciated, and any information can be given, like mod order or whatever. Thank you very much.

This sounds eerily similar. I recall someone else who had a similar problem. One sec.

Hmm, that does sound similar, but I'm unable to access the Steam overlay as he's said. It's displayed sure, but I've got no way of clicking on the message (mouse doesn't seem to exist) nor does the game or Steam respond to the shift+tab command.

I got it to load twice, once when I deactivated all the mods, ctrl+alt+del'd, and clicked the application again. It loaded the menu, and I was able to start a new game, but this was not reliable in the slightest, and worked somehow again when I had all mods installed save for Ling's modaramma, not to mention I'm pretty sure I've got the correct service packs which solved the other person's problem.

Can I get a complete load order? The issue is a bad formID in one of the mods you are running. Possibly due to not converting a mod or converting it wrong.

The other guide I read had a different order for the mods, notably sticking Fallout3.esm at the top as I've done, rather than after all of New Vegas' files, as on that page. I tried moving it after all of NV's files, and the same thing happened, still no mouse or keyboard control. What did happen, however, is that alt+tabbing gave me control over the mouse, but not within the game environment.

If there's no clear answer beyond this, I'll just take my chances on a completely clean reinstall and see how that works.

Beyond fixing your load order, LingsFinerThings.esm and Lings Finer Things.esp need to be converted for TTW. The information needed to do this can be found at the bottom of this page http://www.taleoftwowastelands.com/content/ttw-20-out

That may have helped then. I'm able to get it working reliably by deactivating Ling's Emporium of Bootylicious Excellence (no idea why it didn't work before) and just running PN and EVE. That's good enough in my book for now, so I imagine that's what it came down to.
