I haven't tested it myself yet, but apparently my PN Patch is also causing the menu to hang on TTW 2.4. So if you are using that, disable it until I update it.

Yeah I saw that. I'm not using any mods with this install so I don't think that's it. Thanks though. Also, changing masters on the FO3 DLC doesn't not do anything except probably break many many things. Still no good lol.

seems this was the issue on the thread i started. i accidently resolved. one of my mods was over riding something in the pn patch then when i applies a bash or merge patch it put whatever info was causing the issue back at the bottom of the list. i suggest looking at the nuka grenade some odd things are happening in fnvedit. when i try to move it to the end (remember i have little clue what i'm doing, just playing and learning here) it's name changes from PNxEWeapNukaCocktail "Nuka-Grenade" [WEAP:12004342] to just [WEAP:12004342] which seems odd to me

I need to look at it myself; 2.4 is installing now. It sounds normal though since I replaced PN's Nuka Grenades with the Nuka Grenades from FO3 most likey. Expect an update tonight/tomorrow.

I am having the same problem

Post by morlund69 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 4:46 am

I am having the same problem as Deathclawlove. No mods loaded except for TTW. Archive Invlidation is toggled on.

I had to manually install 2.4 because NMM seems to time out (four attempts proves it isn't going to work) and FOMM crashes before I can try anything with it. I edited the .ini files as per the instructions on the Alpha Download page.

Vanilla New Vegas (no TTW/FO3 .esms enabled) loads correctly. I'm at a loss here.

EDIT: I have tried loading the game with the default exe, with the NVSE exe, and with fnv4gb. Nothing works.

Ok, another update from my

Ok, another update from my end of the issue here. I was attempting this on my gaming laptop which created all of the issues. It wasn't showing the menu bla-bla-bla... I am fortunate enough to have a much better rig as well and attempted the install on that. I'm not sure whether it was the lack of software on my laptop or advanced hardware on my rig, but it totally works now.

So, I transferred my install from the gaming rig to the gaming laptop and now it works. So yeah... Sorry my solution is probably of no help except for the fact that it was probably the lack of software on my laptop (Visual C++ Redist, etc...) so check that out affected people.

When in doubt, re-install.

When in doubt, re-install. Make sure you have ALL the C++ Redists installed and all the .NET frameworks installed too. I used FOMM to install the FOMOD and it worked like a charm, but my FOMM is LAA (large address aware). There's a guide somewhere around here to make it LAA if yours isn't.

Well I'm stumped. I have all

Well I'm stumped. I have all the C++ Redists and .NET Framework thingies, the 2.4a installer completed without issue (took two and a half hours but it worked), but NMM can't install the TTW - Main fomod because it times out, FOMM crashes on startup (and if it does startup it won't work or just crash), I tried MO but it doesn't want to work, and I also tried a manual install (following the instructions on the Alpha Download page to the letter) and, even without mods, just end up with a main menu lock-up.

In summary, I don't think TTW supports toasters anymore. This PoS I'm on now only has 2.1 GHz processing and 4.0GB ram, and that's probably why I can't get it to work... crying I guess I just have to go back to 2.2a on my toaster until I can get my microwave fixed.

I can offer a [posssible] solution that is far outside of my skill set. Would it work if the TTW - Main fomod were split into smaller parts that NMM can handle? Maybe my toaster and I are in the minority on this one.

Are you running a 64 bit

Post by Thatchor » Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:02 am

Are you running a 64 bit operating system? Is FOMM crashing start up or when you try to activate/install TTW? If it's crashing on start up, it's not TTW related. Anyway, try making FOMM and/or NMM large address aware using this tool. Simply run the exe and select the FOMM or NMM exe and click patch (or whatever it is). Then try again. If it still doesn't work, ask Jax. wink

How long are you waiting at the main menu for? My game takes about another minute before it actually loads the main menu after getting to it.

Yes, I'm running Win 7 64 bit

Post by morlund69 » Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:28 am

Yes, I'm running Win 7 64 bit. I tried waiting for about half an hour on the main menu before deciding, "yeah, this isn't happening." FOMM crashes on startup. Sometimes if I uninstall/reinstall it, it will run for a bit. In those instances I tried to use it to install TTW and it fails. A second attempt crashes FOMM. I'll try that tool and see how it goes.
