Missing Radio Station

Post by Squash » Wed Jan 29, 2014 7:57 am

This isn't directly a TTW fault but I was hoping someone would be able to help me. Apologies for the novel.

I'm using Tale of Two Wastelands with Underwater Home (awesome mod). My problem is that I've lost the Mojave Music Radio station due to the teleporter from Underwater Home.

What I did:

I took the train from the Capital Wastelands to New Vegas, stepped outside into the Mojave (Goodsprings), quick saved and quit to install the mod. I came back and the mod was successfully installed.

I wanted to keep the progression experience so rather than running straight to the Underwater Home I used the console to teleport somewhere close. I intended to go to the 188 Trading Post but went to the NCR Outpost by accident, realised my mistake and did COC 188TradingPost (or whatever the cell code is) then ran to the Underwater Home.

I sorted myself out, grabbed then teleporter gun and used the console to teleport back to Goodsprings.

From there I used the teleporter gun to set up a Marker in Goodsprings between the General Store and the Bar, used the gun again to teleport to the Underwater Home then back to Goodsprings again (to see how it worked).

Shortly after, I realised that there was no music on the intercom in the Underwater Home and I re-selected Mojave Music Radio to no avail. I tried the Jukebox and again no go. I checked my Pipboy and the station was not listed on it.

I had tried taking the train back to the Capital Wastelands then back again to New Vegas, and it worked but when I selected MMR it disappeared again.

I found an old thread via google from someone who had a similar issue, however their problem was they teleported from inside a DLC area. All they had to do to fix the issue was go back to the DLC area and walk back to the Mojave.

I tried re-tracing my steps exactly in the manner I listed them above but this has not worked either. I've also tried entering The Lonesome Road and coming back out again but that hasn't returned the station.

The thread also had a suggestion of using Steam to verify the cache for New Vegas, which would theoretically reinstall the radio station. Is this an option with TTW? I'm worried it will delete or overwrite important file or folders and destroy my TTW install.

Other than that thread, I found an old Fallout 3 mod that supposedly fixed a similar issue but the mod was old and has been deleted, it's also for Fallout 3 not New Vegas.

Has anyone experienced this and knows how to fix it? Is there a mod or patch to fix it? I don't usually create manual saves so at the time I only had a Quick save and Auto save which were saved after the issue appeared.I've tried disabling mods to no avail. I can still get Radio New Vegas.

I really like the station and have an extension mod for MMR that I really want to use. A new radio mod wouldn't be much help when half the radios in-game are set to MMR and produce silence.
