Train Station Missing Textures

Post by UofMTigerFan » Sun Aug 04, 2013 4:41 am

As the title says, whenever I enter the train station there are just nasty giant red boxes with white exclamation points, showing that I am missing some textures. It's possible that the meshes and textures .bsa haven't properly been transferred, but I've run the installer quite a few times. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: That should have been "more". Not moe. Please do not provide moe information.

Ah, sorry for being so

Ah, sorry for being so general. Basically once I entered the rail station on the New Vegas side, items such as empty jet inhalers and junk doors were replaced with the failed texture symbols. I attempted a reinstall and now the random spots of the floor are now fixed, but the train cars are now gone except for the caboose.

EDIT: Some load screens are also a bright purple, but it isn't many of them. Also, Empty Sarsaparilla Bottles are also missing textures.

EDIT #2: Now it says that "One or more of your Fallout 3 BSA files as failed to extract properly, if this problem persists, please report it."

EDIT #3: I just fired it up to see if it was just a problem then, now tons of places in Freeside are replaced with just exclamation points. I messed something up.

Ooh! Ooh! I think I know this one, but you might not like it. I've had that problem, and for me it was caused simply by having too many mods activated. Try disabling a few mods, any mods, and see if the problem is fixed.

If you think nothing is impossible... try slamming a revolving door. Yeah.

No, not really. There is supposed to be a hard-coded limit of 256 or something like that, but it was a fair bit less for me. I think it depends on your rig.

I would just deactivate a few less important mods (whatever you deem those to be), reapply archive invalidation, and pray. Yeah.

All of them, then work

All of them, then work backwards.

I remember having purple load screens at one point, but that was (iirc) to do with Archive Invalidation not being reactivated after I installed a few mods that needed it.

Your Fallout 3 BSA files are failing to patch? Did you have mods installed to either of your Fallout's prior to running the TTW installer? If so that is probably why.

Also did you run TTW on a new save, or one of your old NV saves? That might also have something to do with your errors.

For me the maximum is 145 before the game acts up, but it might be different for other people.

After some more work, now just my Sound BS is failing to patch, but all textures are working. Only half the Fallout 3 sounds are working, I'm not sure about New Vegas sounds.
