Your call but we cannot guarantee successful update even after the update. 

Again your install log would have gone a long way to getting you help but, you never bothered to give it to us. I'm tired of asking for it so try again! Wait for the next update! See if that one works for you! It's your game your call!  There are many reasons the installer can fail and without the log we have no idea how to help you.

Right now I suspect the issue is Steam.

I have a Gamestop-Version active, my Client set to English and Install-Language set to English... but every time it is installing a German Version... unless I select one of the other languages aside of English. So I do get French or Italian... which is not helpfull.

I guess someone can copy that assumption of mine.
