some suggestions:

uninstall FO3. delete current Fallout 3 dir. reinstall FO3 outside of Program Files (x86), i.e. "C:\Games\Fallout 3". the TTW installer needs a clean FO3 to read from so it can generate the assets properly.

create a new folder on the root of your drive, i.e. "C:\TTWInstaller". extract the TTW Installer v2.2a zip file into the new folder. there should be 2 items: TTW Patches.exe and a resources folder

rt-click the TTW Patcher.exe and "Run as Administrator"

set the output target to another folder on the root of your drive, i.e. "C:\TTWMod'

once the installer finishes (hopefully),  open your TTWMod folder, there should be 2 items, a Fallout_default.ini & a Data Folder.  check the size of the Data folder there, it should be a little more than 7GB.

if this is correct, copy/paste the contents of TTWMod to your ...\Fallout New Vegas dir (where the FalloutNV.exe is located). say yes to all folder mergers and overwrites.

Open NMM or FOMM and correct your load order:

[collapse title=Load Order]

    FalloutNV.esm

    DeadMoney.esm

    HonestHearts.esm

    OldWorldBlues.esm

    LonesomeRoad.esm

    GunRunnersArsenal.esm

The Courier's Stash packs are optional.

    CaravanPack.esm

    ClassicPack.esm

    MercenaryPack.esm

    TribalPack.esm

    Fallout3.esm

    Anchorage.esm

    ThePitt.esm

    BrokenSteel.esm

    PointLookout.esm

    Zeta.esm

    TaleOfTwoWastelands.esm[/collapse]
what about putting the installer/output in folders on the root of your c:\ ?

Windows, Program Files, Program Files (x86), and Users (which contains your desktop) are all specially "protected" by Windows, so they have more stringent security policies. user created folders outside of those areas are not as restricted.

also, this helps alleviate crashes caused by windows trying to read/write files with path/filenames that are too long.

After inspection of your screen shot it appears your using a pirate version of the games and, The TTW Team does not condone or allow piracy on our site.

I have reviewed your chat logs with jax and a claim of having three different steam accounts seems odd at best. You also say that the steam account which has Fallout and Fallout New Vegas is used by your girlfriend. To me that would mean it is her account and, not yours. Using her games is still piracy.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt your account will not yet be banned. You are going to need to prove to the TTW team you actually own both games before we will give you any more help. If you continue to ask for help before providing proof of ownership to ether Jax or myself you will be instantly banned.

Also (and just like Chuck I am not saying you have a pirate version of the game) if anyone actually do have illegal copies of the game(s) there is really no point in asking for help, because TTW will NOT work on pirate copies of the games and that would be the reason behind all the trouble installing it, the requirement of "English legal copies of both Fallout 3 and Fallout NV games" isn't just for show, it actually requires the English Legal copies since the illegal copies are always altered, the installer will never be able to work for those.

Again I am not saying you have pirate versions, I am actually posting this here in case someone comes by with problems installing TTW while using illegal copies of the games thinking that they can install TTW anyway and read this thread, this will explain what is the problem they are having and that there is no way to make it work with those copies, (hopefully) avoiding many posts they could make asking for help when there is really nothing that can help in those situations since its like trying to sharp a pencil with a chainsaw, it will never be possible angel.

I said I had 3 accounts and they are all my account but I brought some games for my GF on my account so I gave her my account and stopped purchasing games on that account. How can I prove I own the account, Log in and take a screenshot of my library?

Me and my GF live together with our PCs next to each other's and it seems silly to purchase 2x copies of steam games when she can just play mine considering she only plays for small amounts.

Look I shouldn't have to justify my gaming life and why I own multiple steam accounts so if you want to ban me for what you assume is piracy, then go ahead and good luck with you mod I would of liked to play it. (not trying to be rude, just don't like feeling like I'm on trial for something I have not done.

seems to me that the easiest fix for this is for you to sign into that account and, install FO3 and FNV onto your computer.  Then try to install TTW. When you want to play fallout then use that steam account. Steam lets you have the same game installed on multiple computers after all.

You have to understand that we are walking the edge on Beth's EULA and don't want to get shut down by looking like we condone or support piracy of there games.

I understand your piracy

Post by lordbok » Mon May 06, 2013 11:53 am

I understand your piracy issue's as well as agree with it And I love Beth and all there work and I would not pirate their game, (I already own there last 4 games on Xbox and PC) also I do already have it in my steam app's folder as well as well as my C drive, Would You like a Screenshot of that?, also I have already tried using the TTW installer from the steam apps versions also, its all the same error saying it cannot find a patch file. Like the previous log said.

So I hope we can put this piracy business behind us so we can hopefully get TTW working. =D
