Creating .esm

Post by KEGman321 » Tue Apr 30, 2013 2:20 pm

Hello TTW Tech Support! I'm somewhat new to modding and I seem to be having some difficulties with TTW. I use Nexus Mod Manager for my mods on F:NV and Fallout 3. When I'm on there, my load order only has New Vegas dlc .esm's and now it has the TTW .esm's. In my folder, these are shown with a symbol that is the same as the G.E.C.K. on steam. I have files for Fallout 3 in that same folder, but none of them are .esm's. My question is, how do I make the Fallout 3 files be .esm's so that I can correctly order my load list in the Mod Manager?

If you don't have:

  • Fallout3.esm

  • Anchorage.esm

  • ThePitt.esm

  • BrokenSteel.esm

  • PointLookout.esm

  • Zeta.esm

Then something has gone wrong with your installation of TTW. There is no way that .esp are created instead of the esm's.

It did create .esm files but they are different. For instance, Anchorage is "Anchorage.esm.BF1E8DB35D04D9AD4B70FE9E1F6E1FD0.209639897C5AD1361E75485E8D444ECF.diff". All of the Fallout 3 ones are like that. I don't know whether I should keep trying to delete, then download the TTW file or not. Any ideas?

Now my problem is fixed. I found the correct files. They were hiding in a different folder for some reason.

At installation of TTW you gave the directory where you found the correct files as destination, that's the reason.
