Installation problem

I'm recieving an error when trying to install via 2.2:

"One or more of your Fallout 3 BSA files have failed to extract properly. If this problem persists please report it."

Fresh install on FO3 and FNV, all suggested resources on the download page (e.g. Framework etc) have been updated, I've tried installing to desktop, and my encryption settings are as suggested. Once I press okay on the dialog box, all activity on the installer stops, and if I press install again I get an "Already open" unhandled exception.

I'm sorry if this issue has already been addressed, or if I'm doing something obviously wrong.

Hmmm.. is your Fallout 3 updated to the latest version? If you have a cd version the 1.7 update can be found here: http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/downloads/updates.php

If your fallout is not updated that could be the problem. If it is updated, try pointing the installer to somewhere like C:\TTW sometimes the path gets too long.

I'm using the Steam versions of both games, so I'd assume it would update them automatically?

I've also tried installing to C:\TTOW but it's still throwing the same error.

For a while earlier today it wasn't putting any text into the install log, but when I tried after I woke up it threw this:
