MainTitle.mp3

Just something I was curious about: when the TTW installer is finished, one of the music files it gives you is MainTitle.mp3 (the New Vegas menu music). This is (as far as I could tell) the only file the installer produces that will overwrite one of your existing FNV files... with the exact same file!

Is this a mistake, or was this supposed to be the Fallout 3 main title music (which is not used at all in TTW as far as I can tell)? Or am I missing an obvious reason for the installer including this file in the "bundle" it creates when finished (that you copy into your FNV folder to finish the TTW install)?

It's done on purpose to ensure that the FO3 main title doesn't override FNV's main title. If you installed to a different folder than FNV, it should have simply deleted the FO3 main title, whereas, if you install to the FNV folder directly, it copies over all the FO3 sound files and then overwrites the FO3 title with the original FNV main title.

Ah, I see! I "installed" to an empty folder first so I could save the compiled files elsewhere, then copied them into my FNV Data folder, which was why I wondered why I had a second MainTitle.mp3 trying to overwrite the FNV original... and then got confused when I said no, played it and it WAS the FNV one! :)
