212 installer issues

Post by Blayzeitup » Tue Apr 09, 2013 5:28 am

hello all, im new here and fairly new to the modding scene, anyway, i am having problems installing TTW i  I have tried many times to actually get it to install, had 1.4a installed but then FNV was crashing before loading the menu, which i thought had been a faulty install so i did yet another clean install, though it was only the steam overlay messing with things! but now i am trying to install with the 212 installer and a command prompt opens but seemingly just hangs. nothing runs through the promt. is this normal? i left it running all night while i slept and came back to an error, which i wish i had copied, but i did not.

can anyone shed some light on this?

thanks! Blayze.

Not with any details from your side. The error messages are important to help you. Also is a "TTW Install Log.txt" in the drectory where you installed TTW to. The content of this is also needed to help you.

makes sense, as soon as FNV

Post by Blayzeitup » Tue Apr 09, 2013 5:43 am

makes sense, as soon as FNV finishes downloading again, i am going to try the installer again, if and when an error pops ill copy the info and grab the txt file before deleting everythign again to ahve yet another fresh install haha.

I've been trying to get this done late at night for the past three days after long days at work, so ive been pretty run down and careless it seems to grab the needed info, sorry about that!

I have however installed teamviewer for a helping hand throught that if it comes to that point!

Trying install again. so far this is wahts happening. will update if an error pops.

is it normal for the 212 installer to not have any dialog run through the CMD prompt?

Should it be remaining blank while the program works?

Thats normal, the alternative was to make you have to "Press enter to continue..." a few different times.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box."

i cant for the life of me find the "TTW Install Log.txt"

Just run it again, I'm trying

Post by JaxFirehart » Tue Apr 09, 2013 8:27 am

Just run it again, I'm trying to figure out why that happens sometimes, but you got through the long parts. The installer only does what it has to, so run it one more time and it should finish up pretty quickly.
