I downloaded the 2.2a installer and installation itself seemed to go off without a hitch. But when I run the game it has an issue right away. As it plays the New Vegas start-up and music I realize my mouse isn't registering. Then when the Ranger background for the menu appears, no menu pops up. Hence I'm stuck at what should be the start-up menu. I double and triple checked the load order of the esm files and it's in the exact order.
Any idea how to fix this?
Running any mods? And have you tried waiting for a while longer and see if it appears?
My best guess is some mod making that happen.
I disabled all mods just as is recommended by the installation instructions.
I've tried several things already, except for a clean install of both games. Mainly because I can't find how to get steam to re-install the games. I can't find any options for re-install or even uninstalling on either 3 or NV via the steam launcher.
Okay, now it's running fine. Don't even know what I did or was doing wrong before. I guess I tried to run it enough times it decided to start working.
