Do you mean the last time I rode the train with this character, or another in anotherplaythrough? This was my first train trip for this character to the Mojave coming from the CW train station (the new one), and I appeared hovering over the bed after the cutscene intro, but then just frozen there.

The game doesn't care which
The game doesn't care which character, so yes, what mods have you added since the last time any character rode the train.

Ok, I'll have to think it
Ok, I'll have to think it through and see. Thanks for the help Jax.
edit: well, uninstalling the mods didn't work to resolve the problem. There were only a few to uninstall before I got back to the mods that I know worked the last time I went to the Mojave for the first time with a character. This is so weird. I'm going to try to uninstall/reinstall everything because simply unticking the mods I knew to work (everything but TTW) didn't work.
I can't see how it would help since things were working fine, but I'm running win7, xeon 2.66Ghz, 18gb ram, using Nexus Mod Manager v0.48.2 these last two times (so I am pretty sure it installed everything correctly for a working trip through Doc Mitchell's). I'll include the install log, too, but like I said, it was working fine last playthrough.

Well, I uninstalled
Well, I uninstalled everything and the train trip/Doc Mitchell's worked perfectly, of course. Don't have any idea what mod conflict it was, though, as I uninstalled the new ones as they were only a very few but didn't work. No idea. Everything else worked before.
Does anyone have problems with installing/uninstalling mods with NMM? I used FOMM in the past but wanted to give NMM a try recently. Once, it borked the TTW install (gave a very long error message I don't remember) but did it the second time.

Why didnt you check to see what was overriding quests and scripts in the TTW esm? Jax pointed you in the best direction here.

Because there shouldn't have been anything new overriding the TTW quest and scripts since I was working with a load order I already knew worked fine, except for a couple of new mods that either were said to have worked by the mod author with TTW (like PipPhone) or were weapon mods like Millennia's pack. I was kinda thinking that NMM had borked an installation or uninstallation somewhere, somehow.
The only new mod that didn't fit those types was the weapon/quest mod the Courier's Cache that I had uninstalled during this playthrough and not installed again.
But for everything else, I've since reinstalled them all back to where I was before wih the load order right before the train ride (with a few exceptions, like switching wme for wmx), and the train ride/Doc's place works fine just like it did before this weirdness happened. I think Unlimited Companions is the only one I haven't reinstalled, but other than that...?
