Installer issues

Post by Casputin » Sat Feb 23, 2013 10:42 pm

First post, first of all I wanna say I can't wait to install this and get playing it, bringing these games together will be like a dream come true!

Sadly I'm having major problems getting it installed. I'm installing v1.41a using from-disc copies of both games (GOTY and Utlimate editions,) I have everything listed on the page and games have most recent patches.

Here's the errors I'm getting, first I get:

[collapsed title=Error #1]

"Could not find a part of the path

'C:\Users\Cas\Downloads\TTW\resources\Install.bat'.

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

which I can ignore and continue to the installer. Once I start installing, I get up to this point:

and can't go any further. Like I said, I'm dying to play this so I'd really appreciate any help you can give me. Once I've got it going, I look forward to to playing, posting here & getting to know y'all!

EDIT:

I'm on a freshly built PC:

  • Intel Core i5 3570k

  • Asus P8Z77-V board

  • GeForce GTX 660Ti

  • 8gb DDR3

  • Running Win 7 64bit

Proof of purchase, as requested. Hope we can put that ugly little chapter behind us. Also, happy to report I've got TTW installed and working like a dream. Wow, just wow. You should all be really proud of the work you've done! Once I've given myself a crash-course in modding Fallout I hope I can do something to contribute, even if it's just something little.

Keep up the good work!

Well sorry for the misunderstanding! I was under the impression that it was impossible to install FNV to any directory that is NOT 'steam\steamapps\common' so whenever I see that I automatically assume there is piracy afoot!

Again, forgive the false assumption, enjoy TTW!
