Re-enable voice filters for Intercoms, holodisks etc

Post by The_Drunken_Soviet » Fri Jan 10, 2014 12:08 am

Is there a way to re-enable the voice filter that gave holodisks and intercoms the more realistic sound rather than the really clear voice.

It Is a more of a little nag than a critical bug but if there was a way to re-enable ,i would have a play in the Geck and .ini files and see if i could reduce or even fix the original issue that caused it to be removed.

Yes it's easy to re-enable.

Yes it's easy to re-enable. The original issue... not so easy.

You're gonna want to re-enable the has modulation/ voice modulation (something to that effect) flag on things that should have it.

yeah it will take awhile. But it'll pale in comparison to the time it'll take to fix the bug

Just enable the flag on one

Just enable the flag on one item, something easy to get. Enable it on the V101 security armor helmet.

Then give the helmet to an NPC and use them to test. Then, AFTER you fix the bug, you can re-enable the modulation.

I'm not sure about how to enable/disable filtering on holotapes. My suggestion was for a helmet item. The modulation (I THINK) is the same on both, so if you fix one you fix the other.
