I found another problem, I think. I was in Scribe Bigsley's office, and I turned off the radio, and it made the BoS hate me. What the crap is that about?
Game gets progressivly worse as I play until I crash

LOL I have no clue, probably the radio is owned and you activating it was considered stealing or some type of property crime.

I do seem to remember that in vanilla FO3 that would happen to me sometimes, I would turn off radios over DC and people would get hostile, the radios were owned and I hated it
I loved when I played TTW for the first time and I actually could turn off radios without people want to rip me apart for it.

Oh, well that's kinda weird.
Oh, well that's kinda weird. It's been 5 years since I played FO3. So I don't remember jack shit other than the main plot.
But now that I can have Boone with me, it makes me want to explore.
My steam folder got corrupted again, and I'm just going to toss my save files, configs and start over fresh, see if that fixes it. But I'd rather wait until the next version of TTW comes out. Any ETA on the next build or a test build I could try?

I've read that you can turn
It's a 32-bit machine, I can't stand 64-bit. I have 4Gigs of ram, but only 3.25 useable because of 32-bit mode. Would it still help? I play on all low, except Item and Actor LoD. FRAPS is saying I'm getting 74FPS, but that's FRAPS and it's probably not correct. It's a HD4850 with 512 of DDR3.
I've read that you can turn on LAA support in a 32 bit OS, but it's not advisable and I don't know how to do it. Otherwise, with 32bit, the game is restricted to a 2GB space.
Even if you only have 4GB of RAM, on a 64bit OS, if you launch the game with the 4GB LAA enabler, it solves the problem with memory fragmentation - so it manages memory better. If memory is fragmented, you could have free RAM but not in a big enough chunk that the program is requesting.
I have 4GB of RAM and kind of a crappy processor - pentium D, so I am happy to get 30 FPS with this game. But it's 64 bit and I don't run out of memory unless I run a crapload of mods.

I am currently waiting on the next release of FNVEdit which fixed bugs so that I can move forward with changes. They, in turn, are waiting for Dragonborn to come out so that they can ensure that it works with Dragonborn. So I hate to say it, but the next update probably wont be until the end of February.

I see. I think the version I had wasn't legitamate, it was a key I bought from Amazon, it didn't come with anything, they just sent me a CD Key through E-Mail. Seemed kinda shifty. It also had you select the languages, all kinds of stupid shit.
So, I traded 2 TF2 keys for the FONV Ultimate Edition (hell of a deal, the guy said he had it forever and nobody wanted it, and keys are going for $1.60 right now each), and I'm installing that one now. Hopefully that'll fix my problem, on top of starting a new game and a fresh install of FONV and TTW. I'm going to hold off on the 4GB fix unless it still crashes.
EDIT: I went from the start to Ian West's mission without any problems. Total play time: 1 hour 12 minutes, I hit about 40 load points, all of them went without a hitch. When I launched the Steam version, it made Fallout auto determine the quality it should run at, and it picked Ultra, so I thought I'd humor it and see if it could run. Not only did it run well, but it was always 60FPS no matter what I was doing. I couldn't get that on low even if I tried. It seems that higher quality = better performance. That's kind've weird, but whatever. It's nice to see what part of the face I'm aiming at through my scope. I can put bullets in their eyes now, and make their eyes come out, kinda cool. Before they would only gib at major appendicies (head, torso, leg) now they split in to micro gibs such as eyes, ribs, liver, etc. Kinda cool, never seen that before. Anyway, I went from super horder to super stingy. I only carry stimpacks, doctor's bags, caps and 2 weapons and ammo at all times. Hopefully it won't crash anymore.

Yeah, I had to kill a lot of people I didn't want to, just to get their armor. Like the Mechanist. I feel bad for him, he just wants to be wanted, and people are all like: "Get the fuck out of our town." He's like a post-apocolyptic Batman with robots. I had to kill him with my silenced .45 1911 so the town didn't hate me for it.
It sucks I can't do that anymore, I like taking everything. If it doesn't crash a lot anymore after I complete the game, I might try hording again in the next version.

I always make the Mechanist
I always make the Mechanist Give me his armor by convincing him that he is more of a menace to the town than the Antagonizer
