Updated Misc folder missing

Post by jinwoo1601 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 1:54 am

Upon installation of TTW, an error message pops up that downloaded alpha version of TTW is missing Updated Misc folder in its TTW data folder.

I think this is rather a download problem rather than a bug in installment program.

But i do not know how to get a proper download with Upadted Misc folder included because i have tried re-downloading several times and they are all missing the folder.

Anyone help?

Screenshots of the error and a direct copy paste would help greatly.

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Have you tried going to C:\Users\owner\Downloads\ttwinstaller_14a\resources\TTW Data\Updated Misc\ and seeing if it exists?

Yep. Every time i re-download

Post by jinwoo1601 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 6:48 pm

Yep. Every time i re-download the file, there was no "Updated Misc" folder itself on downloaded files.

I have tried disabling anit-virus programs and firewall just in case they "sorted" the folder out from downloading.

Still, Updated Misc folder was missing.

I do not see anyone else having this problem, so it may be my internet acting weird.

If you could create another link for this missing folder or check on the current link for error, that might just do.

I'm downloading the current link to see if I get the folder or not. That folder is empty at the moment anyway, so just create it at the expected location and leave it empty.

It seems there were several missing folders. Each time installation is interfered by missing folders, i have to create those folders and restart installation, which delays the entire process. For the record, if anyone is missing folders below, please create empty folders with these names.

Updated Misc

Updated Music

Updated Video

And the installation is done. Thank you guys for creating and continuing this project from Requiem for the Capital Wastelands!

That's really quite strange, installed TTW more times than I can remember and never got that error. I wonder what might be causing it indecision.
