A few small problems Hostility & followers

So, i have not played Fallout in a while and back on it since a few weeks. I used Requiem for a Capital wasteland before, but that had to many bugs. Then i found TTW and first off I have to say it's brilliant. I have done a rush play through of both the Fallout & NV main quests (TTW 1.4a, new game) to see if there were any major bugs but did not come across any major problems. A few i could simply solve by looking on the tech support forum here. Actually the biggest problem was the Readius pipboy, but simply deactivating it before Tranquility lane & before going to the Mojave for the first time solved any pipboy issues.


I started with all my mods turned off so i could get past the birth scene, and when i want to start a new game i use a clean savegame just before i leave vault 101 si i can change gender, name etc.


I do have a few small issues though.


BoS are hostile in the Mall & around White house square. No problems with BoS anywhere else or throughout Broken Steel. They are simply hostile each time i enter one of those two areas. I've taken care not to hit any BoS when going to GNR first time. And not looting anything of dead BoS, but it does not matter.I read that CASE could cause the problem but i'm not using that. I am using the Book of Earache NV however. Since both are ammo changing mods, could in my case BOE be causing BoS to be hostile? They do count towards evil karma and my disposition towards BoS when i kill them even if i let them hit me first.


I also have the NCR Hostile problem. But only when i have Willow with me and only when i enter Camp Maccaran with her. So far nowhere else with or without Willow. (Mojave outpost i have no problems, i read other people do have problems with NCR being hostile there)


And Sydney keeps following me around where ever i go and pops up after I fasttravel and then wonders back to the underground again, also her i can always see her location icon on my pipboy. When i talk to her the companion wheel pops up even though i completed the quest all the way to finding her dads holotape.


Now all of these little problems are not really a problem. Sydney simply gets owned by the supermutants, i use tgm to get the disc up while the BoS shoot at me and leave Willow behind. But they are a bit annoying nevertheless and i could use some help trying to solve them.

However, I would hypothesize that a lot of your problems are caused by the fact that you are using almost 150 mods.  You can use that many mods, but you may experience a lot more bugs because of it.

I haven't played through the Fallout 3 part yet but I experience a similar problem with BoS, too. Some of the paladins are hostile for no reason throughout wasteland. The fact that some paladins are not hostile doesn't help much because once I attack the hostile ones (because they attack me!) the friendly ones turn hostile, too.


I suspected that it's the Sydney follower mod that causes the problem because it took place after I first met Sydney and later recruited her. However, the problem persists even if I don't bring her along or even turned off the plug in.

It's me again.


By trial and error, I finally found out it's LingPrettyThings.esp that caused the problem. With that disabled, the BoS paladins are all friendly again.

Its related to changes in faction etc made for TTW because some of the NPC's are reused in NV from Fo3 for BOS stuff, try using a merged patch should help with faction, and any NV mod that edits the generic BOS NPC's probably causes the issue.
