Some possibly foolish problems

Post by Valondra » Sun Jan 13, 2013 9:05 pm

Hi guys, I'm having some problems with the Alpha installer I hope you can help with. I reset all my files through steam to make sure nothing conflicted, and followed the instructions of the downloader and its page, but after finishing the installation, I started up FOMM and began editing the load order to find that Fallout3.esm is for some reason missing from the list. I'm fairly new to modding and would really appreciate some help in working out where its gone, how to retrieve it, or what I've done wrong.

Thanks in advance!

That's strange indecision well the only thing I can tell you is to try and install TTW on a folder in your desktop and then after it installed pass all the files into your Fallout NV game folder, overwriting anything it asks to.

Tried your suggestion, and this turned up, but I clicked continue anyway.

See the end of this message for details on invoking

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Still having the same problem

Post by Valondra » Mon Jan 28, 2013 10:57 am

Still having the same problem, no fallout.esm in the load order of FOMM for New Vegas, and after starting the game up it begins to load and crashes before hitting the menu screen. Any other advice would be most welcome guys!

Your fallout 3 installation

Post by thermador » Mon Jan 28, 2013 6:20 pm

Your fallout 3 installation needs to be:

  • Complete, with no missing files, and all DLC installed (or have Game of the Year Edition)

  • 100% legal, not pirated

  • Patched to the most recent version

  • English language version

Are all those things true?
