HI I got the GOTY edition of F3 on Steam and I did the installation. I did the installation and it gave me a bsa and esp. But I realized some of the files where read only so I turned those off and re did it. Then the patcher says it cannot patch the f3 esm and says it only works on legitamate copies of the game which I own. The installation was aborted. Whats going on?

Well I do say which version I
Well I do say which version I have and explained the process I went through. I have the steam GOTY edition and I used the installer. Which worked. Then I realized I had files read only so in the fo3 folder I set it not to be read only. Then I used the installer again. At the end of the process it said It could not patch FO3 esm and it only works on legitmate copies of fo3. Which I have! I am asking is there a common bug then and what is going on?

System Specs (including Operating System, Processor, and Memory, nobody cares about your graphics card) Is this related to install a package system should not matter on the processor and memory except for horse power of your machine. -
Mod Manager and Version - Should not matter not part of the current process. -
