Bug: The Pitt confiscation of items

Post by tizerist » Mon Dec 30, 2013 5:41 pm

When you enter The Pitt, the following are not confiscated from the player:

> Ammo

> Neural Interface suit. The version BEFORE you enter the Anchorage sim. It's an undroppable quest item, but ideally shouldn't be shown to be in the players possesion whilst in slavery.

Also, according to this page, the pre-Anchorage suit should weigh 0. Mine weighs 10.

Ideally it should have quest status removed after you complete the quest. (I'm not sure if it's set up that way now, I didn't look before commenting) On the other hand, If you're saying you got the suit then went to the Pitt instead of doing OA that's another beast entirely.

The ammo is a "feature" of TTW. It uses a slightly modified holdout weapons procedure. I intend to write an NVSE script to confiscate all but one clip of ammo for each weapon you smuggle in.

If the neural interface suit is still listed as a quest item it WILL display its weight, but it won't actually encumber you. And it won't be removed from your inventory.

I see, that would certainly be a step-up from the current incarnation. The stricter the better. I was even allowed to keep 2 missiles and 18 other types of ammo, which I am now going to dump in a dirty little corner somewhere and play fairly, lol.

Yes that's it. I had my save ready from february, ready to play OA when TTW2.4 launched, but then the 2.4 mesh issue came up, (you can imagine that this had me absolutely dancin' in the rain) so I went to the Pitt instead. It's an unlikely scenario, but in the event that another player does do this, it makes sense to hide, if not remove, this suit in captivity. Perhaps NVSE could help with that, I dunno.
