Custom Guns Tilted in Iron Sights?

Post by mc_tammer » Sun Apr 30, 2017 8:29 pm

I'm experiencing an issue with two custom guns that I made. When I aim down the iron sights in first-person view, the guns appear tilted 5 degrees to the right, throwing off the point of aim/point of impact. This is what I'm talking about:

I found a thread on this forum from 2015 where another guy had this issue but the issue was never solved. It was suggested that the Weapon Animation Replacer mod was to blame but I am NOT using any animation replacer that I'm aware of, and it's just these two guns. I've made several other custom guns using the same method and they're not affected. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

I've attached an archive with the guns in question in case anyone is willing to test them out. These two guns worked perfectly fine in vanilla New Vegas, it's just since I installed TTW that I've experienced the issue. If someone could help me fix it, I'd really appreciate it!

EDIT: Here's another photo showing where the cursor/point of aim actually is in relation to the gun

remove "don't use 1st person IS" flag and "don't use 3rd person IS" flag.

Make sure your weapons have a ##SightingNode

Thank you, Roy, removing the IS flags totally solved the issue!

It didn't occur to me that the GECK entries for these two guns were cloned from the sniper rifle which has the "Don't Use 1st Person IS" flag checked by default, while the rest were cloned from the assault carbine. I never would have even thought to check that. Thanks again!

The sniper rifle IS flag doesn't matter because it has a scope. Scopes always override IS because you're looking through the scope, not the IS node.
