Noob to modding

Post by RADmann » Tue Nov 29, 2016 8:29 am

Hey all just recently found this mod after purchasing FA:NV on steam. The videos of this mod look amazing so kudos the everyone that worked on it great job. I just have a quick question so I just purchased an Alienware Alpha PC on the black friday deal with these specs: Intel® Core™ i3-4170T Processor Dual-Core (3MB Cache, up to 3.2 GHz), Windows 10, 4GB DDR3L 1600MHz Memory, and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX GPU 2GB GDDR5.

So being new to modding and not really knowing much about PCs I was hoping to get some input on what my modding capabilities/limitations would be on this rig and if I would need to upgrade something I'd like to hear some suggestions. Thanks

Come on, you sons of bitches! Do you want to live forever?

Certainly more RAM, at least

Certainly more RAM, at least 8 GB, and it is unclear what graphics card you have, GTX what?

This new system should run older games like FO3/FONV just fine for you, but it is underpowered for the more recent demanding games of the last few years.

Modding older games is not so much system dependent, other than having a graphics card that can handle the bigger textures in the mods. I would suspect your GTX ??? 2 GB GPU should at least be able to run medium-level texture improvement mods.
