Simple Question on Loading Times. (Not a Tech Support Question Just Curious)

Post by Kameraden » Wed Mar 30, 2016 1:26 am

I know there was a patch made not so long ago that fixed loading time issues.    Which I'm 99% sure I downloaded recently.

However, I have a simple question about it which I don't really consider a technical issue so.  Question being when I launch the game, select my save and start loading it up it can take quite a long time for it to load the save.  That being said, after that "FIRST" load in loading during the rest of the play session is very quick.

I swear it feels like 4-5minutes+ which personally doesn't feel right.  I just started playing TTW again, being I wanted to revisit fallout3/nv after I finished 400 hours on Fallout 4 just to see how much I would enjoy playing the last two games after playing the 4th so much.

I honestly don't remember that "FIRST" load in to take as long as it's taking, and it feels like it's progressively getting worse as I keep playing.   Is this normal? lol

It might because you have either the TTWoptions that also wasn't updated, or another mod/optional using the older quest stages and scripts that have since been removed.

That makes sense, being I do have the TTWoptions installed, though I turned them off about half way into this play through.  I guess I can consider that now a huge mistake.

Update the plugin to the hotfix one and make a clean save with it disabled.

Thanks for that info Roy... that was the problem I'm no longer having after removing TTWOptions.esp from my load order... I must have a slightly older download of 2.9.4b.

Has it been updated in the currently posted version of TTW Installer?
