Iron Sights/Aim Down Sights issue

Post by Dood » Mon Jun 15, 2015 8:28 am

Not sure if this topic belongs in the Technical Support subforum.

So here's the problem. The iron sights when playing on Capital Wasteland (a.k.a Fallout 3) seems off. Whenever I shoot a gun, the bullet always goes lower than the actual iron sights. However when I play on the Mojave (Fallout New Vegas) it works just fine.

The only mod I have that affects the camera in any way is the Enhanced Camera mod. I'm not sure why this problem only happens in FO3 for me.

See how the bullet goes lower than the crosshair.

Well the flags or something are messed up on that gun, it's not supposed to tilt sideways.

Are you using any animation

Are you using any animation replacers? Which gun is that? I will check it, looks like the Ruger 556?

It's the weapon animation

It's the weapon animation replacers from FNV. But as far as I know, it only affects third person and the idle animation. Not firing animation. Yeah it's the Ruger.

WAR affects 1st and 3rd

Post by RoyBatty » Tue Jun 16, 2015 2:25 am

WAR affects 1st and 3rd person animations. I'll check the vanilla gun and see if I have this issues (I don't use WAR).

Dood, you are using: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55334/? correct?

and also using: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38527/? yes?

and I hate to ask this but are you also using this to tie them both together: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55648/?

I use the weapon animation replacers but I don't use the enhanced camera. I only ask too see if that 3rd mod helps correct your issue since it's largely dealing with the 2 handed weapons.

I only used WAR for the third-person animations, the first-person ones are left default. That's why I don't have any problems with most of the weapons I'm using, except a few from CFW. I mean even the ones from TTW are dead-on accurate. That patch also uses different settings from the default first-person view. So it won't help my problem.
