What is Up with Charons Shotgun?

I know that this is a very very small thing but it still bugs me. Why is Charon using a Lever action shotgun? Is it a Balance thing?

No. The balance is exactly the same. Charon, despite having a combat shotgun in FO3, always used lever action animations. It was clear that the original intention was for Charon to have a lever action shotgun, so we gave him one. It's very simple to create a patch that reverts this change and you would be welcome to release it as a mod.

Because his shotgun animations in Fallout 3 are for a lever action style shotgun, it's looks ridiculous with a combat shotgun.

I would Totally do that if i knew the first thing about modding. I Guess Charon will have to be content with being A Powdered Wig wearing Ghoul With a Lesser Shotgun.

It's actually not a lesser shotgun. The stats are the same. Still, maybe someone with a minimal amount of modding skill will do this, it's really super simple. Charon Shotgun and Charon Scene Shotgun would have to have the models reverted to FO3 settings, nothing else. Can be done in Edit for anyone so inclined.

Charon is OP. No need to change the stats, you could change the model easily though.

and the LAS is actually not a bad gun, and i totally use it in preference until i get a riot shotty

Am I really the only one who hates the Riot shotgun?

Also, Unrelated question. Is there a way to get RL-3 and Dogmeat as companions at the same time? I have an Unlimited followers mod and it won't let me recruit them both. And this is with me having every companion Barring Fawkes and Butch.

You'd probably have to have an unlimited companion mod made specifically for TTW for that to work, or one for FO3 and one for FNV. The systems were different-ish.

I am assuming that the unlimited followers mod does not change the critter followers max number .

I do not know how to change that but I think it shouldn't be that hard... But I do not know anything about followers in NV so it might be very hard or impossible .
