Ok I'm just wandering how many people actually use VATs? Personally I can't stand using it and wouldn't mind seeing it eliminated from the game all together. But since I doubt that will ever happen I use a mod (Vats Disabled) that does just that.
How Many of You Use VATs?

I use it and wouldn't play if
I use it and wouldn't play if it didn't exist. I don't understand people wanting things removed... if a feature doesn't exist, and you want it, you're screwed. If a feature does exist and you don't want it, you simply.... don't press the button. Simple. It's like fast travel disabler mods... if you as the player don't want to fast travel, it's a simple matter of not clicking on the map markers in the pipboy.

I used to use VATS as much as
I used to use VATS as much as possible. Now I try to only use it in extremely annoying situations (Like fighting Cazadores).
I have to agree with Pinto that it's rather selfish to want the whole thing removed from the game. It is a game mechanic you can simply ignore if you don't like it. If a player does not have the discipline to not use VATS or not use fast travel, that is their own problem.

I typically use VATS to find
I typically use VATS to find out who's near me but not so much to actually attack enemies.

It was fun for the first
It was fun for the first dozen, dozen times I tried it, but then I found it was more fun playing the game without it. Here's why I don't use VATS. I'm not attacking anyone else who does:
VATS takes away control.
In the moment when it should matter most, using VATS launches a cinematic. You can't do anything but watch it play out for good or for bad. Once it launches, the player can't react to anyone or anything. That's not playing a game; it's watching a movie.
VATS doesn't reward player skill.
It doesn't use it either. It's a sophisticated aimbot. It's a crutch. It's not rewarding to use.
VATS takes too long.
Watching someone else play Fallout can be frustrating for all of the time VATS takes to play out. It's much more fun to actually play the game instead of relying on it almost for every enemy. The sense of danger is more real; the tension isn't interrupted.
It's very easy to just not press 'v.' Sometimes when I'm playing I forget that it exists.

Ok fine.... I'll agree that
Ok fine.... I'll agree that it shouldn't be removed since it appears many like using it but just saying don't hit the button isn't enough. It's annoying to get the message to hit V to enter vats when you don't want to do that. So maybe there should just be a game option to turn it off all together for those who don't want it. But then again the mod I use pretty much does that but it would be nice to do it without the need of a mod.

If you don't like the message
If you don't like the message to press V, you could try http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/47746/?

I used it a lot with vanilla
I used it a lot with vanilla FO3, but with new vegas, i very rarely use it due to having the iron sights for aiming.

I use it for combat when I'm
I use it for combat when I'm feeling kinda lazy or it's easy mobs I don't really care about. I also use it a lot to find people. I was in Megaton trying to find an NPC and just hit VATS and scrolled through the targets until I found who I was looking for. :)

I use it more than I would
I use it more than I would really like to, mostly out of laziness, but I do not think you should get any sort of bonus for using it and wish there were not so many perks which are VATS related.
