I just found out about this amazing mod of true amazement and amazingness as of yesterday, and I'm considering playing it. But I am just wondering, what is the deal with legal issues and licensing and what not? Is Bethesda allowing this? Is it possible this mod could be shut down in the future? Just wondering, thanks for reading

Bethesda knows about this mod
Bethesda knows about this mod and it doesn't contain anything unlawful or things that where against Bethesda license. No content of Fallout 3 is distributed with this mod. It is generated from the TTW installer from the original Fallout 3 files you have to own.
To answer the next question right away. It is not on Nexus to avoid that modmakers who think if something like TTW exists they can now freely distribute FO3 original files for their NV mods. It's not about TTW doing it, it's about people not thinking sadly.
Also it's a lot more comfortable working on the mod here. ![]()

Legally we can't distribute
Legally we can't distribute FO3 files, and we can't port the content into New Vegas. You are required to own both games and all DLC to play TTW. We do not provide any content, instead providing a nice installer that takes your files, patches them to our specifications, thereby creating a nice mod for New Vegas with your content. We aren't breaking any laws. If Bethesda was going to shut us down, they would have done it long ago.
Basically as long as you legally own both games you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
