I dont think he is the father/baby/pre-war, unless it is confirm that it is set right after the bombs fell.


 


Remember its been more then 200 years since that bombs felt.  I dont think you can live that long unless you are a ghuol.

Yeah that would be pretty fucking awesome. Shame that they're (rightfully) using a more modern engine to put a damper on such an idea.


Not that I'm complaining about the better graphics lol. And I can only imagine what it'll look like with ENBs.

I don't usually post here, but since we're talking about a potential Tale of Three Wastelands...


Looking at the Skyblivion project, a good portion has been automatically ported over to Skyrim's engine. Meshes had to be fixed, LOD had to be regenerated from scratch, Facegen has to be done, armors and clothing have to be fitted to the new bodies, quests need to be remade from scratch and navmeshes need to be made.


If it would be the same for FO4, it would be a lot of work and that would just give the vanilla game, mods excluded.

In regard to the Skywind/Skyblivion project, a lot of the work they're doing is, strictly speaking, unnecessary. Not only are they converting all of Morrowind, but they are also redoing all of the meshes and textures to modernize the game. While admirable,  I'm not certain that F3/FNV would need that level of work done.


I don't mean to imply that it would be easy, but I expect it would take less time than many would expect.

You're wrong there fellow. The meshes *have* to be redone for the engine. The textures need to be upgraded to not stand out as shit work in the new engine. Same would be true for TTW.

Well, we could just combine a bunch of existing mesh and texture replacers for F3 and FNV. 


That's what *could* have been done for Skywind and Skyblivion, but their pride got in the way of going the practical route.

Skyblivion actually has its vanilla assets ported over and it actually looks good in the Skyrim engine.


The problem is that it actually takes a lot of work to recreate the quests, clothes, armor, dialogue, navmesh, weapons...etc.
