Traveling Companions

This might be a silly question to those of you who've played a lot of TTW, but I just got it installed and am beginning my first game, and I had a question regarding travel between the two wastelands. Obviously, the first time you travel to the Mojave, you have to be alone, but when traveling between the two later can you bring companions with you from one wasteland to the other? I desperately want to paddle up the Legion camp and let Fawkes unleash some red burning fury.

Wicked. I just assumed because having a super mutant with a giant cannon seems like it would discourage a random mugging.

that'd assume some better AI than currently exists.


perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

I could easily do a fire all on the first ride, maybe should, now you mention it, mostly we are just waiting on cross wasteland companion firing locations to be implemented, that way Fawkes ends up in NV with you after that first trip, but he gets auto-fired to Jacobstown instead of standing at your bedside.

Jax, I really like the idea of that, to have the CW companions go to various locations in NV.


Depending on the particular companion there are a bunch of good locations for them. Though some might be harder to reemploy at least depending on where they end up.

is it possible to had just the companion who was with you gambling in a casino with a short dialog explaining how he/she has been tireless looking for you since you split up. :) oh and they could tell you where you left your courier's stash and maybe be used to fill in some back story.

The team has been talking about that for a while, and we have come up with some perfect locations and some not so perfect ones, depending on the companion, same thing for FO3 companion perks too wink so I dare to say that now we only need to go through a few companions that are still missing some things and then get the time and motivation to implement this stuff, might take a while though.

Very hard to do without the actual voice actors for the companions.

Sorry for the gravedig, but I'm curious if this was ever implemented along with the idea mentioned a while back about the companions going to different areas in the other wasteland

The team have been working on the companions and where they will wait in different wastelands, in fact it is in testing at the moment.
